The rules and procedures for obligatory Ex-certification of explosion-proof equipment for the use on the territory of RF are established by Regulation “On approval the rules of Ex-Certification of electrical equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres” of March 19, 2003 #28/10.

Ex-proof equipment includes the following: devices for production, transfer, distribution, storage, accumulation, measurement, regulation, transformation and consumption of power, telecommunication devices, any devices or materials used in potentially explosive zones and which are prone to cause inflammations.
